Facebook Fan Page Reveal Script

Hey Everyone

It’s been a lazy and a busy week for me.

Lazy because it was Christmas and I spent it with my family, had a lovely time, very quiet but nice. Kind of weird, but Christmas just does not feel like Christmas anymore, even the kids didn’t seem as excited as normal.

Anyway I hope you all had a lovely time and are ready to bring in the New Year.

So after a few lazy days of stuffing my face, I decided to get back to my affiliate marketing business, I am still focusing on Social Media Marketing, I had a fanpage designed and used a reveal script I found on the Warrior Forum.

I forked out the money to become a War Room member, which means I basically get access to lots great products for free, or sometimes at a fraction of the original price. My membership was money well spent, like I said I got access to a facebook fan page reveal script.

Basically what the script does is:

Step 1: Prospective fan lands on fan page and sees blurred image
Step 2: Prospective fan “likes” fan page and sees clear reveal image
Step 3: Clear reveal image contains my Aweber code and encourages new fan to join my list.

I have only just launched my fan page yesterday, but I will be sure to share the results.

So far I have 16 fans, and received 2 new optins on my mailing list, those numbers are pretty good, I would be happy for 2 optins every 16 fans if I am honest.

You can view my fan page here, showing you the ugly link you get:

===> http://www.facebook.com/pages/New-Super-Affiliate/145332245511628 <===

Would be really great if you could “like” my page and it will also show you the script in action, or I put a small screen shot below:

I need 25 fans before I can choose a vanity or unique fan page username because as you can see the link is not the most attractive with all those numbers trailing at the end.

I do know I could cloak the link too, before anyone suggests that, but I feel people are sometimes distrusting of cloaked links and the actual facebook link would be a much better option.

I was also advised to buy a domain name and redirect to my fanpage for example, wwww.newsuperaffiliatefanpage.com, but I am not sure if this would be truly beneficial right now, so I am not going down that route and will patiently away my “vanity” facebook fan page url.

The only other update I have is that my ===> Traffic Ultimatum Review – George Brown <=== is live on my blog.

I opted for a blog page rather than a blog post on this occasion.

Now I intend to write several articles which are traffic related and point them back to my blog page from my article author’s resource box.

I am still chasing that elusive $1 online, my only goal right now, with the new year approaching I am happy with how I am progressing and do feel that I will reach my $1 goal sometime soon.

That’s it for now, I hope your business is progresssing at a steady speed and wish you all the best for 2011.

Speak to you next year, Alex.

That was a neat trick. I haven’t got a fan page yet but I was wondering how people find your fan page if they don’t see this post?

      Hey Pete!

Erm, that’s easy… you promote it. :-) Put a FaceBook “like” widget on your blog, tweet about it, invite all your FB friends, put it on your wall, write about it in your sexy new newsletter, graffiti on the train station loo walls, whatever, where ever. :-)

DOH! Yeah, I knew that, I reckon I was still recovering from New Years Eve.

As to that link to facebook I use a plugin for that I just don’t use it for the comments as it takes up too much CPU. I’ll be interested to see what plugin Alex uses ;)

    Alex!

Man, I just noticed something when I left the reply here to Sire. The word “FaceBook” got automatically used as anchor text for a link to your FaceBook page!

That’s so cool! You gotta tell me how you are doing that. Is it a plugin?

    Kind (and impressed) regards,
    Steve

Hey Steve, yeah it’s the Ninja blog plugin, kinda cool just installed it a few weeks back, you choose certain words and it links back to whichever url you insert, Alex.

Alex, I’ll be starting my own Facebook fan page pretty soon here, so thanks for the useful info here. Also, it’s good to hear that becoming a War Room member is worth it. That’s something I’ve been wondering about.

    Thanks again! Post retweeted!

    Hey Alex,

I’ve got a question for you… How do you find the time to put quality information on your Fan page as well. I have so much going that I just don’t think I can do it justice which is the only reason I haven’t put one up before now. I mean if I can’t give it the attention and time it deserves then why go to the trouble!

Would appreciate your input on that…

    Thanks,

    Adrienne

Hey Adrienne, I would use your current content you have, the rss feeds can be fed into your fan page, so your sharing quality content on autopilot, everyone is happy.

I know you write very helpful articles, so I would certainly add that feed to your fanpage for others to benefit from,

      Alex

      Hey Chayes,

The script is completely free, you can get it on the warrior forum if you are a member or just google it, there are a ton of blogs with the code right on their page for you to copy too.

You will need to get some images designed though,

      Alex.
